At the Center Grove District event, Cyber Blue won the district Chairman’s Award. This award is very exciting for the team since we have not won for four years. We are excited to present our Chairman’s presentation at the Indiana State Championship, with a win there qualifying us to win the Chairman’s Award at the world championships in Detroit. This was the unofficial start of the Center Grove district competition. We unloaded our trailer and set up our pit. Overall, it was not very event-filled, but we took place in some practice matches to get warmed up for qualification matches later.
After a tough performance at the Rocket City Regional, Cyber Blue claimed a wild card spot, guaranteeing us a spot at the FIRST Championship in Detroit, Michigan. The Rocket City Regional in Huntsville, Alabama has officially started! Cyber Blue took to the field for practice matches, where we demonstrated our ability to place panels, cargo, and climb. We also had a chance to begin scouting some of the competition. We are excited for qualification matches to begin and can’t wait to see more of the competition!
Shortly after returning from the St. Joseph district competition, Cyber Blue left for Huntsville, Alabama to compete at the Rocket City regional competition. We headed to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, where we toured the museum and learned more about space exploration. We are preparing for the first official day of competition on March 14, where we will have practice matches and start to scout the competition.
