Team History – 2025

About the Robot
Reefscape offered a unique challenge for our team, with all the various ways to score during a match. After planning priorities, our team wanted to tackle the L4 Coral score, Coral Station load, de-algae, scoring in the Processor, and performing a DEEP Climb. Entering our first competition, we succeeded in all of those, and more! We were able to configure our height to score Algae in the Barge, as well as push our boundaries to develop a 3-coral autonomous.
Strengths
After being introduced on the team last season, we planned from the beginning on how to utilize Limelight cameras for autonomous capabilities. This allowed us to quickly progress through the early stages of development and testing to enable the most powerful aid available. Careful tuning with the elevator enabled us to create the levels of the Reef in code, and made it a simple button-press to go where we wanted to. This combined with our improved autonomous code, made us a competitive scorer during the autonomous period.
Unique Features
Climbing this season was originally thought as simple, but as our priorities grew, the importance of its location became critical. Our Seniors worked tirelessly on designing, building, and testing various prototypes for the now infamous “Donut-Climb”. This method was built around the Cage becoming the center of gravity for the robot. With the eventual addition of magnets to help keep attachment to the Cage, our climbing was quick, easy, and consistent.
