Interview Tips

Below are some tips for you as you prepare for your interview for a position on the Cyber Blue Robotics team:

Resume- The main goal you want to achieve with your resume is to let us know why we should select you over someone else. So… remember to brag on yourself. Tell us why you should be selected to join the team. As you can see from this resume this person had no robotics experience, but by telling us about their Girl Scout experience we know that they are a leader and are willing to try new adventures. Make sure your resume paints us a picture of you and your accomplishments. Do not stretch the truth. If you haven’t got much experience that is fine, you can tell us why to select you in the interview process.

Interview- come dressed for the job. Don’t wear shorts, jeans or yoga pants. While we are not suggesting everyone wears a dress or a suit and tie. We would like to see you dressed in at least casual business attire. That means pants and a polo or dress shirt are fine.  (Sounds like the dress code from last year ; )  Your interview will only last a few minutes so make the best of it! We will ask you questions about your resume, questions from the handout, and probably ask why you want to be on the team. Be prepared! Think up an answer prior to coming. Practice with a parent or friend.

One last suggestion- Before you walk in to the room for your interview take a deep breath and relax, we will not bite.

If you have any questions feel free to talk to Mrs. Schreiner or email us at cyberblue234robotics@gmail.com

GOOD LUCK!
